What it does
Live Analysis processes data as it is acquired at the microscope and uploaded. Ice thickness, particle density and 2D class averages update while collection continues. The first insights appear within about ten minutes of data upload allowing you to make on-the-fly judgements as to whether the ice is too thick, the particles too sparse or the sample simply not suitable.
How it works
It runs the early stages of the workflow in real time: motion correction, CTF estimation, particle picking, and progressive 2D classification, which takes on new batches of particles as they arrive and updates the class averages as it goes. Global micrograph metrics and picking statistics are monitored alongside.
Movies upload while the session runs. First insights arrive within ten minutes, with ice thickness, particle density and 2D classes updating as data arrives.
Where it sits
Live Analysis sits at the start, running the same jobs as the standard workflow while collection continues: motion correction, CTF estimation, picking and 2D classification.
It can inform decision making during your microscope session. Instead of collecting everything and sorting it out later, you can drop a struggling grid and give the remaining session to a promising one.
Live Analysis is an add-on, quoted separately from the platform licence and available on request.
